✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Spiritual direction is a conversation between someone trained in deep listening and formation and anyone who wants to deepen their relationship to the Divine.

  • Not exactly. Although both are conversational, therapy offers solutions and behavior modification plans with an end game in mind. Spiritual direction does not aim to fix or correct, and is a relationship with no final destination.

  • Anyone can benefit from having an hour to explore their inner life in the presence of a trained helper! You will find it especially beneficial if you are deconstructing the faith or tradition with which you were raised, raising children and want to explore your family’s faith practices, if you have been hurt by the church, or are experiencing a life transition in some way. It is also helpful in time of discernment and grief and for church leaders and clergy.

  • Nope! I welcome people of all faith traditions, denominations, and walks of life. No need to be a “church lady,” know your Bible, or have any religious experience.

  • During a session, we chat about whatever is on your mind to talk about! If you don’t know where to begin, I have questions to get you thinking. I will listen, ask follow up questions, and we may share some silence together. The session is really lead by the directee, and no two are ever identical.

  • A typical session is $75 and lasts for about an hour. I offer bundle packages and scholarship options so that direction can be accessible for you.
